The beads in this necklace are petrified wood. They feel and look like a mineral, so hard have they become. The colors of the beads range from a warm mahogany brown to a purplish white. One bead is wrapped with sterling silver wire in a herringbone design. More beads are wire wrapped with a single cross over, forming links that are attached to one another. The clasp is a heavy sterling silver hook, and there is a sterling silver backdrop or extension that is 5 inches long! Length of the necklace is 15 1/4 inches, plus the 5 inch extension. |
